"Be Smart" Project

In addition to "regular" school this week, we had the kids prepare presentations on a topic of their choice.  Here's what they learned...

"Be Smart"

Jonas:  "I learned about procrastination..."
Owen and Micah: a powerpoint sharing their fascination with guinea pigs (and a plea to get one)
Troy: a piano concert
Evelyn: reading from the encyclopedia about fish
Mom: collected quotes from The Hiding Place
Leslie: lots of writing (stories and poems) about love

It was a pinprick of light to the soul.
It was the clouds being parted and understanding flooding through.
It was a quilt put over my heart on a chilly night.
It was love.
Heavenly Father's love.
It was love perfected, love to the max.
And it was for me.
I felt it through a prayer.
Through a scripture, in a hymn.
From the sun in the sky, a rainbow after a downpour.
From the testimony of a prophet, from new flower buds.
I felt it during the night, during the day.
His love is always there.
I felt it then, and I feel it now.
Do you?

We love learning!

I really love to hear about all the things you do. The kids are learning and growing so much and they are clever, smart and creative. Just like their parents.
Loved Leslie's poem.
