For Halloween: Member Missionaries!

Trunk or Treat 2016

All these years dressing up Bob and I promised each other that when we sent our first child on a mission we would dress up as missionaries for Halloween.  This worked out well, since Bob is deployed and I can't make costumes!
We had a lot of fun dressing up as missionaries and decorating our van as the "Van of Salvation"!

Celestial chocolate (white)

Terrestial chocolate (caramel)

Telestial chocolate (milk)

and 

Outer Darkness chocolate (extra dark)

were the treats at the end of the evening!

Dresden turns the big 4-0

The kids surprised me with my pig collection displayed in a fun way.
They also cleaned the house while Blythe and I went shopping!
I found this sweater at Target - couldn't help but buy it for my birthday!

The rest of the day was spent chillin at the house and then going to the ward trunk or treat.  :)

When we got home, Owen surprised me with a homemade lazy susan for our table!

Troy gave me a painting and Evelyn gave me a homemade coin purse.

Awesome.  

And I'm going to stretch this birthday-thing as long as I can...  

Evelyn turns 10

she received from Poppa Keith and Jeanene

She was thankful to spend time with family; 

even Mamma, Blythe, and Asher came to visit!

She is a very, very happy girl!

Shakespeare

I had the kids adapt a few of Shakespeare's plays into 5 minute plays.  Owen did a whiteboard play, Troy used my pigs for Hamlet, Micah used stuffed animals for Macbeth (very well done, but several video clips!), and Evelyn used apples and bananas for Romeo and Juliet.

They turned out awesome.
