37!

I love this man.

Happy 37th Birthday!
Plus also, 15 years ago today, we started officially dating...

We celebrated yesterday with a date to the El Paso Museum of Art, a super yummy fancy restaurant dinner at Mi Piaci, and finished the evening off with Kung Fu Panda 2.

Today we had his favorite meals all day...
orange rolls,
mac and cheese with kielbasa and peas,
homemade lasagna and homemade french bread,
and 2 kinds of delicious cake balls:
1) german chocolate covered in dark chocolate
2) pistachio cake covered in white chocolate
(recipe coming soon and you have to try this!)

We also went to the park to play and he had a great time playing tag with the kids. When we came home, he took Jonas out to sell more Krispy Kreme donuts for the Scout fundraiser.

And the weekend is not over yet! Yahoooooooooey for more fun!

Huff to Bluff Marathon PLUS...

WOOHOO!!!
Awesome course, long uphills, steep downhills, gorgeous miles (especially the last two), enthusiastic supporters and cheerleaders...

and it is over.

We ran the full 26.2 miles in 4 hours, 39 minutes, which isn't bad for a pregnant lady...

Yes, really!

Bush Talent Show

Leslie invited everyone this past week to think about talents and then perform or display something on Saturday afternoon... It was really fun (and funny) to see what everyone did. And since President Uchtdorf said it was okay to be proud of our children, I AM!

(Micah drew some awesome pictures, and Leslie and Evelyn baked delicious cookies -and cleaned up- all by themselves!)

Here are some highlights:

Dad can really flare those nostrils!

Happy Mother's Day! (updated)

I hope to live this day doing the best I can to be a woman of God.
(The other choice of living a guilt-racked day never sounds fun... I'll try this instead.)

I thank all the wonderful women in my life who have been examples to me: my own mom, stepmother, mother-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, aunts, cousins, grandmothers and friends... and let me not forget my children who have enrolled me in classes ranging from Parenting 101 to Parenting 590!
You have all inspired, uplifted, and helped me become a better "me".
I thank you and love you all!

"Women of God can never be like women of the world.
The world has enough women who are tough; we need women who are tender.
There are enough women who are coarse; we need women who are kind.
There are enough women who are rude; we need women who are refined.
We have enough women of fame and fortune; we need more women of faith.
We have enough greed; we need more goodness.
We have enough vanity; we need more virtue.
We have enough popularity; we need more purity."

— MARGARET NAUDALD

While we were with Jonas receiving his patriarchal blessing
(am I really that old?!?!)
(plus also, that was an amazing experience),
the other kids made a cute Mother's Day slideshow...

"Isth another looth tooth!"

Micah has lost another tooth! This is his 3rd tooth to come out, and it came out tonight at the pizza place. Micah kept running to the bathroom to try to pull it out, and finally he asked me to try it. It came out very easily! He is very excited and now he is waiting for the other front tooth to come out (it is also loose).

Nice smile!
P.S. I asked Bob to pull it out so we could get our money's worth on buffet pizza...
