The Boy Scouts went on a High Adventure Outing. It was a blast. First we drove to the place where we would be hiking for about three days. Along the way we saw some cars parked alongside the road that were painted like the cars from the movie Cars. It was really fun.
On the first night of the hike we completely ran out of water and a group had to go out and collect water for everybody. They got back around midnight, exhausted and sleepy. The next morning we headed out after a quick breakfast. We hiked all day and covered what felt like 100 miles in one day, but it was only something like 10 for the entire day.Along the way we stopped at a waterfall to play. We had to leave after about 45 minutes because we still had a lot of ground to cover. That night after some more hard hiking we camped.
The next morning we hiked back to the cars and drove all the way to Tennessee and then went into a cave with a cave guide. It was extremely fun and exciting. Everyone got muddy after getting out of the cave at midnight, but then we all took showers because Bro. Pilkington apparently didn’t want us stinking up his car on the way to the capitol building. We got to bed at about 2:00 in the morning. Most of us didn’t sleep in the cave that night as planned because it was all damp and wet.Little did we know it would be pouring rain in the morning and when we went in the cave, all wet, to wake up the people who had slept in the cave they just started laughing at us and we just fumed.
During breakfast we discovered that my ear had swollen to about twice its original size and I was pelted with comments about my gigantic ear. Then Bro. Correa gave me some medicine to take and we went to the capitol building.
After our tour of the Capitol building in Atlanta, we played in the elevators and looked at the displays. We came home and I saw Dad who had been gone for a month. Then life went back to normal.
But as Bro. Pilkington said when it was raining: “That’s it, now this trip is officially memorable.” Enjoy the pictures! (Sorry, I have no pictures of my ear. That just fulfills Bro. Correa’s prophecy that someday I would wish I had pictures of it.)

I wish you had pictures of your ear too! I love the pictures and enjoyed hearing about your adventures first hand this last weekend!
What a memorable experience! I bet you slept well the first night home! That sounds like such an intense camping trip - nothing like what I've done. Good job!
