A day WITH the kids

The past week has been filled with almost everything but spending time with my kids. (Remember that tiny fence problem?) By time, I mean "real" time, quality time, fun time. Obviously I am with them almost 24/7, but I felt very Martha-ish the past few days, and I actually wanted to stop and be WITH them. You know the story in the New Testament, where Martha serves and works, but doesn't actually spend time with the Savior? I was feeling that way about my kids.

Today I fixed that. We frosted some post-Easter egg cookies (I love sales!), read books, played Risk, and then Owen and Troy surprised us all with a last laugh at the end of the day.

Problem solved. For today. Enjoy some laughs.

It looks like you had a great time and some great looking, yummy cookies! And Oh My Goodness, what silly boys you have! :)
-Holy Cow, I had no idea the tornado came over by you guys! We lost power for abou 5 hours and it moved our cover thing in the backyard, but we didn't even hear it! I'm so glad you weren't home and that you are all safe! Do you need help with the fence?

It appears to me that you love time with your family all the time, but I know there are extra special moments, savor them!
