Happy Homeschool Day!

We had our annual "homeschool day" on Monday, the first day of school for public schools. We traditionally take the day "off" from school, just because we can! We had a great day at Walmart, reading, playing with toys, running in the sprinklers, playing with Greg and Blythe, lazing around... We also made mini-school bus cakes complete with yellow frosting and m&m stop signs and wheels. We sang "The wheels on the bus go past our house, past our house, past our house..." We love homeschooling - it is easier and more fun than most people realize! I actually believe that all parents are homeschoolers, some just "do the public school thing" too!
Picture of school bus cakes will show up as soon as Blythe gets to Utah and emails me the pictures! (Our bad luck with technology continues, first our computer crashes, then our camera is dropped and broken...)

That sounds like a really fun way to celebrate! I'll bet your kids loved it!
