When I was a little girl, we had a big tiled garage. We would turn the hose on, soak the floor, and slide, glide, whoosh from wall to wall. We had a blast, and we thought we were the coolest kids in the world. At least we were doing the coolest thing! The fancy move was pushing off from one wall and then twirling in the middle of the garage so that your feet would connect and push off from the opposite wall. Of course we had races and showed off our moves, and we had a lot of fun.
So, today I told the kids to put on their swimsuits, and they were so excited to see mom pouring water all over the linoleum kitchen floor and telling them to slide on it. Who needs a slip and slide? We've got a kitchen! The kids had a blast, and this activity was a "thankful for" today!
