The kids have been devouring the Magic Treehouse series this month. So for our "book report" day we made mini tree-houses. Fun! And cute! We decided it would be so awesome to live in mini-worlds like these...
Steps:
1) Go on a tree twig hunt
2) Go on a base log hunt
3) Drill holes in base logs
4) Hot glue the twig into the base
5) Go on a craft/nature hunt for mini-furniture items and accessories
6) Create!
7) Play!

Pink tree? Yes!
This action guy is loving the creative base and fun accessories
Love the swings and tiny beads and butterflies on this tree
(Right now they are playing little legos with their trees.... this could be a blissful mommy afternoon!)

Awesome idea. My seven year old will think this is the coolest thing ever.
Cameron LOVED(!!!) The Magic Tree House series, and especially the companion books with all the extra facts. I made him a passport, and when he completed a book, he could get the stamp (for the passport) from the online website. I'm excited to introduce the series to Zachary this year. Thanks for giving me some ideas to consider doing with him. (BTW - I LOVE reading your blog. I hardly comment, but I DO read it. You have an amazing family.)
Such cool and creative moments. School was not like that for me. Hope you got a blissful afternoon.
Looks like a lot of fun :)
Those books are great!
