So, Friday was a "stupid mom day", or the day that I did everything upside down and backwards...
Here's my day (simplified):
Morning: Cleaned up after breakfast, washed kitchen and downstairs walls, and supervised school work
Afternoon: Attempted to be a cool mom by...
Saying yes to a painting project... (didn't I just clean my kitchen walls?)
Making cookies while "supervising" a finger-painting mess
Cleaning and bathing the paint-lathered children in my downstairs white bathroom (and cleaning the walls again)
Saying yes to an adventure walk complete with sand hills and Georgia clay (didn't I just bathe my children?)
Starting a new dinner recipe while allowing my children to play in our garden dirt (no plants yet...)
Realizing the kids really need a second bath
Starting the bath process for 4 children while toasting coconut in my oven
Starting a fire in my oven while forgetting the toasting coconut in my oven
Realizing I don't own a fire extinguisher while my two older children edit their "what to take from the burning home" list
Teaching a fire safety lesson while throwing water into my newly cleaned oven now covered in burnt coconut (we only take people from burning buildings...)
Sweeping the floor
Serving a rice dinner minus the burnt coconut (didn't I just sweep the floor?)
Turning on a movie and calling it a day.

Wow. -I am... speechless. :)
*Hugs* to you for hangin' in there, that day.
uhmmmmmmmmmmm... You've gotta be able to laugh, right????? RIGHT????????????
Sounds like quite the day! I love how your two oldest were editing lists about what to save in case of a fire. :) The sooner you can just laugh about it, the better it'll be!
It's a good thing you realized it was a backwards day or you might have thought you were making some strange decisions/permissions! Meanwhile... thanks for sharing and I'm glad the day ended!
